My name is ________ . What's your name?" That starts a conversation. If you're from a foreign country, then after that you can say,"I'm a foreign exchange student from _________." That's a preety basic way of introducing yourself. You just have to greet them(say hello, hi, how are you) and then tell them your name. good luck! i'm sure you'll speak fine english! |

Hello I'm ___________ and today I will talk to you about ___________. Now I chose this topic because (insert qualifications here). (continue to present) now if you're just meeting a class for the first time, harsh, but your first impression can help you out much so be cool and be yourself. treat it as if you're talking to an old friend who you haven't seen in a while maybe use something like. Hey everybody, I'm _________ and I come from _______. I'm really interested in _________ . In my free time I enjoy ___________. be cordial and nice but most of all be yourself. Don't be scared whatever the situation believe me I've won humungous tournaments in speaking, the best thing you can do is be calm and be yourself. |

Think Rex Navarette or the Pork-chop Duo. If you have a funny sounding name, crack jokes about it. if you aren't comfortable with that, you can always say the basics:"Hi everyone, I'm (state your name) and I'm from ______. My friends call me, _______. Say interesting stuff about yourself as you go along. It helps people remember you and not your broken-English. |

Just state your name, your origin if you like and a brief intro about your life....Mike
