| Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 16 Rep Power: 0 | a bone stock 2003 f7 efi. or a 2004 sno pro with a clutch kit and racing heads. the sno pro also has rebuilt fox shocks. however the 440 runs on 110 octane and idk where to get that stuff? also can i put octane booster in gas to make it 110 octane? i have a chance to buy one of these sleds and i really like the sno pro, but i want one thats fast and i dont want to mess up the octane on the sno pro. which is the better sled? i dont need to worry about making the sno pro a trail sled... so dont take that into account. thanks for any help |

| Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 8 Rep Power: 0 | right out of the box the snopro will be faster up to about 60mph then the f7 will take over due to the fact that the snopro was produced to be quick out of the whole for snow-cross races. if you were to regear the snopro to similar gearing as the f7 the f7 will still take it because the 440 engine makes most of its power in the lower rpm range while the f7 makes most of it in the top end. in the end the f7 would be faster unless you did something radical to the snopro. chassis wise the snopro is 10x better than the f7. plus with the f7 you don't have to mix the oil and gas by hand it has oil injection. |
