We settled in Toronto for 3 years, but the city was insufficient for my father. Surrey seemed like the ideal place for are family as there was a large South Asian community making a easier transition for my family to adjust to Canada and we were close to the boarder, so visiting family in Seattle, WA wasn?t an issue. After we settled in Surrey, we didn?t have to change cities again as my father?s business was able to sustain and the Lower Mainland being one of the few areas able to escape Canada?s unforgiving winters kept us in staying. I am currently a full time student at Surrey Connect. The reason I prefer Surrey Connect is its ability to do things at your own pace. If you want to finish a course in a month or a year you have the ability to do so. As long as you are motivated you can flourish at Surrey Connect. The reason I?m taking Socials 11 is to complete the mandatory courses and to increase my knowledge in Canadian history and issues. I know a great deal of kids say that they rather learn their own history (people who are immigrants or whose ethnic background is not from Canada), but Canadian history is all about immigrants and how the settled here and the issues they faced. That?s why I prefer to learn the history of Canada as it is one of the most rich and multicultural. I do plenty of tinkering with electronics and computers. I am fond of electronics, as you can take them apart and make unique apparatuses for yourself. As you can take apart a DVD drive, take out the laser diode and use it as a camping tool or balloon popper, the motor which rotates the disk can be used as a powerful hand fan which will run on minimal battery use. With computers I make different programs (simple ones that ask you to solve a puzzle or play a game). The programming language I use is C++ (though I can program in other languages as the only thing different is the varying syntax). So breaking down electronics and making useless programs is what I do for a hobby. I am an avid outdoorsman I love to fish, hunt, camp, and just be outdoor. I go fishing in the spring as it is catch and release time of year I don?t prefer fresh water fish so that?s the best time to fish for me (you can catch and release in other seasons but it is much more crowded as most prefer to fish during the catch and keep season). I?ve only gone hunting once with my brother we got a deer, but getting the deer was only half the joy, the feeling you get while you?re hunting is the other half. Camping is my most favorite outdoor activity as it?s just you and nature (and a couple of buddies). Being outdoor gives you a feeling of freedom something I can?t get enough of. My favorite website is www.yahoo.com/us it gives you news from the world including local news and on one topic or news you have multiple articles to choose from so you can get an unbiased review (even thought a liberal bias doesn?t have to be bad). Yahoo also contains an aggregator for reviews and has Yahoo Answers which is the most useful website for getting a question answered |

Run-on sentence. After we settled in Surrey, we didn?t have to change cities again [as] use the word much less. It?s redundant in your story. my father?s business was able to sustain and the Lower Mainland being one of the few areas able to escape Canada?s unforgiving winters kept us in staying. What does this sentence mean? I am currently a full time student at Surrey Connect. The reason I prefer Surrey Connect is its ability to do things at your own pace.
