I understand gaining a little weight while pregnant is normal but i don't really want to get 100+ i've only recently came under that please any advice is good at the moment thanks |

You need to make sure you are getting 75g of protein a day as well. You will gain weight, I am not going to lie, you are going to see that scale go up. If you are already 95 you are going to go over 100, that is just the way it is. I weighed 150 before I became pregnant, I lost a lot of weight in the beginning from being sick, but then I gained it all back and now at 34 weeks pregnant I weigh 185 lbs. You will be carrying a baby around with amniotic fluid and a placenta.... not to mention you will probably also gain weight in other areas of your body. BUT if you breastfeed and work hard you can get the weight off very fast - a girl I know just had her baby 2 weeks ago and she has already lost 24 lbs since the labor. Exercise during pregnancy is very healthy but only in 15 minute increments. Make sure you are getting a lot of water, and that your pulse does not go over 120bpm. Also, make sure all of your exercise is low impact (swimming is great) - but do not use exercise to diet or diet during pregnancy. Use exercise to strengthen your body. |
