| Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Posts: 7 Rep Power: 0 | in my opinion it's not worth it. the model is way too outdated, and for the money you'd be spending on it (i'm guessing under 500), you could buy a faster windows laptop. reason being is that it uses a non-intel cpu, which is what apple has switched to now, so any of the more recent applications will more than likely not work on it. |

| Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Posts: 8 Rep Power: 0 | That machine might fetch about $300 on eBay. What's the seller asking? Whatever. It doesn't really matter. Nothing about that computer will be acceptable for modern video editing. When it was new 4 years ago it was a bottom of the line consumer level machine. The processor is too slow, it's got practically NO RAM and even if you were to max it it would only hold 1.5GB, the screen is way too small, and the video card sucks. If you can't afford an Intel Mac, just go with any old generic Windows box for now and keep saving your money. |
