Now everything is breaking down: Had to get a new battery, new engine, the transmission is malfunctioning, four new tires. I have the money to buy a new GMC Terrain but I'd rather keep my truck. I haven't bought the engine yet but it'll be $2100. Should I trade it in for $4,500 after I buy the 2100 engine? Or fix everything and keep it? The Air conditioning also broke on my truck. The GMC Terrain has much better gas mileage but a weak 2.4L I-4 engine compared to my V8 5.9L |

If you still want a truck then get the GMC Canyon. You can get a V8 in it as an option. Anything would be better on gas than what you have now. |

I'd trade it but the last thing I would do is buy a new GMC Terrain. I'd buy something 3 years old and save myself a few thousand dollars. |

If I were you, I would wait for the Ford Ranger to come out later this year. The old one is dependable but over-aged. A question I have for you is why did you buy a new motor? Do you beat your automobiles? Do you maintain them (meaning check for leaks until its too late)? I have a 99 Dodge Dakota and I almost ruined the motor. I went to change the oil and a little more than a quart came out. Thats bad on my part. I check more often now. Again, my advice for you is to find another vehicle, preferable a Ford and treat it nice. I would stay away from gas guzzlers. Reason being is that the Middle East is again unstable and Lord only knows when the next gas price hike is coming. |
