My Camera shop in town has a nikon d100 with a 50mm f1.8 lens for sale for $200. The guy said its in good shape but i was wondering just how good the dslr is? I want to start skateboarding photography, so could this be a good camera for it? thanks

If the 50mm f/1.8 lens is autofocus, it's already worth more than $100. So yes, I'd say it is worth it provided that it is functioning properly.
