Default I have a 97 Dodge Ram Truck and its coughing through the Carburetor. What is this caused from?

try doing this ,scan the computer again and read where the timing is at on it when its running because a good scanner will give you the current readings of where the timing is set at on it and that may be part of the problem on i,when most shops set the timing on those they don't wait long enough for the engine to warm up and that throws the timing way off on them, and that problem alone could be causing it to do that, you can also check it with a timing light to see where its at and that might help you on it,it has to be dead on or else it will run like crap and also do what yours is doing,if the temperature sensor isn't working right on it,it will also go back in to open loop on the computer and that will cause the problem your having with it also, the vacuum hose that your talking about on the canister tank will cause a lot of problems also so repair that and check the timing and see if that helps it any at all, also check the fuel pressure on it that will make it do the same thing ,because it needs more fuel when its cold than it does when its hot, good luck on finding it,
